God’s strength is made most perfect in weakness;
God’s Mighty River flows through a spirit of meekness. The meek shall inherit the earth one day, according to the Bible; Those that require God’s strength the most, He deems reliable.

I cannot, of myself, navigate the waters of life – only God can;
I cannot chart my own course through this world of chaos and strife – only God can. Living in this world of no moral absolutes, I cannot make sense of it all – only God can; Because this world has no solid ground, I cannot keep myself from a fall – only God can. Many temptations my vanity affords me each day;
The lust of the eyes and the pride of life can cause my feet to stray. But only the Holy Spirit supplies my real need; I am satisfied with His store; God has my provision – I want all of that, and nothing more. The small town pastor that has labored many years, faithfully obeying God’s Call,
Who has denied his flesh, served for little pay, giving God his all, Having to work a second job to make ends meet, while laboring for his Lord – This is a Camp Fire General that mingles with his troops while sharpening his sword. A computer’s modem brings the internet into our house;
We can access the “windows” of the world’s knowledge just by clicking the mouse. Mankind’s wisdom has been brought to bear and made manifest; Wrought by his insatiable thirst for knowledge, all things, in himself, he doth invest. Heaven is a place we long to be, where we will ever abide in God’s presence.
The streets of gold capture our awe; our senses are filled with celestial essence. The fragrance of flowers, too beautiful to imagine, brilliant colors never before seen, Allure our senses, echoing the matchless beauty of our Heavenly go-between. God’s golden moments, mountain top sublime;
Nothing missing, nothing broken – what a glorious time! The Bible takes on a fresh new meaning; Sonlight shines all around. Troubles seem to vanish as sacred scriptures in my heart resound. The heart of a servant, please, Lord, grant to me;
A profitable servant, and not a selfish tyrant, let me be. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity doth edify; Let me live in your love, or I feel I surely will die. God provided a cloud for the children of Israel to walk in by day;
Walking through the wilderness of Sinai, they were safe, if their feet did not stray. The enemies of Israel were confounded; they could only watch with confusion; Earthly and sensual, they could not see, so they could come to no conclusion. The Holy Spirit’s restraint upon our soul is a priceless treasure;
It keeps our soul from sin; its value is beyond measure. Without it, our toxic tongue would defile us, and bring us to damnation; Those that have turned their backs to it are headed toward abomination. |
