Heaven is a place we long to be, where we will ever abide in God’s presence. The streets of gold capture our awe; our senses are filled with celestial essence. The fragrance of flowers, too beautiful to imagine, brilliant colors never before seen, Allure our senses, echoing the matchless beauty of our Heavenly go-between. He bridged the gap between us and a Holy God, making possible a Holy Union. Heaven became our new home, when we repented, and we partook of His Holy Communion; We ate of His flesh, and drank of His blood, when we relented to God’s Plan. He lovingly received us as joint heirs to His Son’s Inheritance -- His Gift to fallen man. “Eye hath not seen, and ear hath not heard, the joys that await those that love the Lord.” “We know not what we shall be, but we know we shall be like Him.” That is His promised Word. His Word is forever settled in Heaven; spoken by a God that cannot lie. The promise is ours; it is His good pleasure to give us the kingdom when we die. It has never entered into the heart of man, the joys that are waiting for us ahead; We now can only dream of our promised Home above, believing as we are led. By a certain promise of entering into His rest, extended to those who trust and obey; To those that tremble at His Word, to them, He will look to in that day. Heaven is where many of our loved ones have gone on before; we will be with them forever. Together, greeting all the heroes of the Bible -- another reward for our earthly endeavors. Talking with our Savior beside the Crystal River flowing from God’s Throne, Making all our labors worthwhile, for all those God has purchased for His Own. Most blessed of all is when we gaze through tears of joy into our Savior’s face, Hearing, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant,” and feeling His Loving Embrace, “I will make you ruler over many things.” Our listening ears will sing; We shall then, and forever, thrill to the voice of the Lord of Lords, and King of Kings.
