The Holy Spirit’s restraint upon our soul is a priceless treasure; It keeps our soul from sin; its value is beyond measure. Without it, our toxic tongue would defile us, and bring us to damnation; Those that have turned their backs to it are headed toward abomination. As long as we seek after God and His holy Spirit’s restraint, Our soul will be blessed, secure, and without complaint. Contentment, peace, mercy, and grace, will be our daily bread When we refuse our worldly passions, and obey God instead. We provide habitation for the Holy Spirit -- God’s Heavenly Dove -- When we feed on God’s Word, and seek Him out of obedient love. The more God’s Holy Spirit feels at home in our life, The more He whispers words of peace, keeping us free from strife. The fruits of the Spirit will spring forth and grow In God’s garden of restraint, and self-control. Let us cherish, and heed, each Holy Spirit nudge, Looking to Jesus as our Savior, instead of our Judge.
