A Samaritan woman was drawing from Jacob’s well one day,
When a tall stranger from Galilee, at noon, passed by that way; Tired and thirsty, he desired a drink from Jacob’s well. “What have I to do with thee, "Thou stranger from Galilee? “Jews and Samaritans must never together dwell.”

Man’s foot is always eager to step out and take credit when things are going well;
He never considers any other recourse until fortunes change, and he is opposed by Hell. When the ground is no longer solid to the touch or clear to the eye, his foot is slow to move; He will not place his trust in anything he cannot touch, smell, or see; with his senses, he must prove. When we choose our mate, and commit to them before God, we make our wedding vow;
Our commitment is made before Almighty God; it binds us together forever, not just for now. Death is the only means for this union to be dissolved, in the sight of God; To the carnal world this sounds ludicrous -- more than just a little bit odd. God paints a picture of each of His saints; the first brush strokes are made when their knees doth bend.
Each saint is a unique portrait, painted by God the Father, of a hue of His own special blend; Each saint requires God’s personal brush stroke to fashion a character to His delight. Each brush stroke can vary; some effecting painful admonition, some blessing the soul, all pleasing to His sight. |
