A Samaritan woman was drawing from Jacob’s well one day, When a tall stranger from Galilee, at noon, passed by that way; Tired and thirsty, he desired a drink from Jacob’s well. “What have I to do with thee, "Thou stranger from Galilee? “Jews and Samaritans must never together dwell.” “If thou knew Who asketh a drink from thee, “Thou wouldest ask for living water from Me; “The living water that I freely give “Causeth those who receive it to forever live.” The Samaritan woman relented and said, “Give me to drink, that I may never more draw instead.” The stranger inquired of her marital call, “Bring hither thy husband, thy companion by law.” “I have no husband,” the Samaritan woman denied; “Thou sayest truly,” the stranger replied. “Five is the number you had in the past. “The one you have now is not your husband, at last.” The Samaritan woman proclaimed, on the wing, “Only a prophet, or the coming Messiah, could know such a thing! “No one has ever spoken to me in such a way – “I believe You are of God; I don’t deny it today.” The Samaritan woman ran to tell all, both far and near, “Come listen to a man who knows all my sins, but do not fear! “Only the Messiah, sent down from above, “Could reveal my secrets, and speak with such love.” The stranger cried, “I that speaketh to thee am He. “Just repent of your sins, and believe in Me.” Many are the ones that have come to Jesus, just this way; Just repent of your sins, and let Him remold the clay.
