When a brother sharpens the countenance of his brother, it is iron against iron – sparks must fly;
Care must be taken these sparks do not ignite passion, or a friendship can die. If passion is tempered with love, rough edges become smoother – character is refined; God is pleased as scripture is fulfilled; life becomes richer; this is how true friendship is defined.

Anxiety, heartache, and confusion, are the fruits of misplaced love;
God must be the sole owner of our affections; passion must only fly with the Heavenly Dove. Earthly affections must never pull us down from Heavenly Currents that stay our wings; Our hearts must be constrained by our Creator; our sway must be only to Celestial Things. Jacob’s walk is a straight and narrow walk, only a Godly canter doth he make;
A worldly stride is not in his foot, he swaggers not, with any step he doth take. An idle and thoughtless posture, in him, is rare, though perfect he is not; He is still flesh and blood, redeemed by the blood of his savior; humanity is still his lot. The worst poverty of all, is poverty of the soul;
When faith and hope famish, our love for life sinks below. Anxiety of the mind screams his discontent; Panic chimes in rhythm; his complaint, he must vent. Even as we read God’s Word, and seek Him in prayer, we still feel a gnawing hunger;
Even as our coffers are filled with God’s Divine Treasure, we still can suffer A feeling of emptiness as we see many of our loved ones living in sin, Knowing that Hell awaits, because they know not the Savior, never inviting Him in. There is a real world the natural world cannot see;
They cannot see, touch, or taste it, but it is inside you and me. The Kingdom of God is more real than the natural world today. It will endure forever; it shall never pass away. The hallmark of a Godless society is not freedom, but bondage; their’s is a misplaced trust.
They think freedom from Godly Admonition is enlightenment; their “liberty” soon turns to dust. The only real freedom fallen man has is when he submits to God’s direction; He knows our frame. He fashioned us to love and serve Him; receiving Him as Lord, frees us from guilt and shame. The dash between the dates is especially relevant, if drawn by God on our behalf.
Every line drawn only by fallen man, is drawn in vain; his best effort is only a golden calf. He cannot bring any sacrifice to the altar of any value to God except a broken and contrite heart; There is no other clay He will shape, unless broken and pliable; this He sets for Himself apart. God saw the need of my soul, one day, in my youth.
I was like a ship without a rudder, searching for truth, Lacking identity, and desperately searching for validation. God met my need with a pure heart of love and appreciation. From the Bible, God’s Inspired Holy Word, we see,
Of God’s most cherished possessions, there abideth three. Faith, Hope, and Charity are much to be treasured; Offered to God’s children, their value cannot be measured. |
