Universal Fix

“Man is born unto trouble, as the sparks fly upward,” according to the book of Job;
      Many are the problems and difficulties of all of mankind, regardless of his abode.
Whether he abides in the carnal realm, or whether his sway is toward the Celestial city,
      All of man’s days are filled with labor and toil; the same hot sun bears down without pity.

God privileges man to choose which avenue to pursue in his journey of life;
      Most people choose the way that panders to their fleshly needs, thinking to avoid strife.
Jesus said, “My yoke is easy, and My burden is light,” but the way of the transgressor is hard;
      God’s ways seem foolish to fallen man – anything that disagrees with his lusts he will discard.

Mankind has searched for six thousand years, since Adam’s fall from the Garden’s Perfection;
      Every tribe, religion, and race has searched for life’s holy grail, the ultimate universal confection.
Many strange gods, superstitions, and philosophies have sprung forth to fill the gap;
      Between fallen man and a Holy God, man’s abominations have only triggered Satan’s traps.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son;” this is the Universal Fix;
      Its origin is with the Father; man’s efforts only pollute the Living Water; there can be no mix.
Man can only believe, and receive eternal life at the behest of God’s Holy Ghost;
      He alone, can enable man to receive the Gift of God’s Son, our Heavenly Host.

Composed by Jim Newnam
Psalm 51:7
“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.”

The six-pointed Star of David is the symbol of the hyssop blossom. I have adopted the Star of David as an emblem of God’s Goodness and Salvation.
