In spirit and in truth, the Father seeketh our praise With our hearts, and with our souls, as with our hands we raise, With reverential fear, without wrath or doubting. This means more to God than boisterous shouting. “To this man will I look,” saith the Lord, “To a man with a contrite spirit, that trembles at my Word.” An eloquent tongue and high-sounding notes are not His Delight; Rather, a soul that is awed by His presence ignites the Holy Ghost light. The fire of His Presence, the light of His Word, The touch of the Holy Spirit, as our hearts are stirred: This is what pure religion and undefiled is. It is not of our fabrication; all the glory is His.
