The hallmark of a Godless society is not freedom, but bondage; their’s is a misplaced trust. They think freedom from Godly Admonition is enlightenment; their “liberty” soon turns to dust. The only real freedom fallen man has is when he submits to God’s direction; He knows our frame. He fashioned us to love and serve Him; receiving Him as Lord, frees us from guilt and shame. Shame is an inevitable by-product of rebellion – cutting the reins of God’s direction from our life; We become a ship without a rudder, running helter-skelter; seeking happiness, finding only strife. Fallen man is his own worst enemy; his lust drives him wildly to and fro, seeking carnal pleasure. The fuel gauge of his soul soon reads empty; his depraved heart becomes void beyond measure. His purpose for living begins to wane; insisting on being his own captain has amounted to treason. God has a plan for our life, a blue print for happiness, a purpose for living – a rhyme that has reason. God knows us inside and out, how to order our goings, giving us purpose, happiness, and life; The more we trust, and yield our members to Him, the freer we become from internal strife. Joy unspeakable, and full of glory, according to Holy Scripture, can be ours for the taking, If we surrender to the Holy Spirit, and trust in God’s Provision, our own ways forsaking; The chains of prideful carnality will drop off our shoulders, allowing our hands to raise To the Author and Finisher of our faith – the Hallmark of our salvation – the only one worthy of praise.
