Hunger Pangs

Even as we read God’s Word, and seek Him in prayer, we still feel a gnawing hunger;
      Even as our coffers are filled with God’s Divine Treasure, we still can suffer
A feeling of emptiness as we see many of our loved ones living in sin,
      Knowing that Hell awaits, because they know not the Savior, never inviting Him in.

The Bible says Hell is enlarging itself, making itself ready for Judgment Day;
      As in the days of Noah, they were always busy, until the flood took them away.
So will our loved ones be caught by surprise; they shall be trembling with fear.
      If they only knew what awaits them, they would receive Jesus while He is near.

We must do all we can to lift up Christ before others, while it is called today;
      Our loved ones hang in the balance – their time and opportunities are slipping away.
Always be ready to share the hope that is in you; let the Day Star Shine.
      Every day brings us closer to the end; today is the day of salvation, now is the time.

Composed by Jim Newnam
Psalm 51:7
“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.”

The six-pointed Star of David is the symbol of the hyssop blossom. I have adopted the Star of David as an emblem of God’s Goodness and Salvation.
