God's Golden Moments

Picture
God’s golden moments, mountain top sublime;
      Nothing missing, nothing broken – what a glorious time!
The Bible takes on a fresh new meaning; Sonlight shines all around.
      Troubles seem to vanish as sacred scriptures in my heart resound.

A new world unfolds before me: sights, sounds, and aromas I missed before;
      God’s handiwork shouts at me from every direction, even from behind a closed door.
Life no longer seems mundane; familiar faces and voices seem more alive.
      They are all God’s Creation: a mission field, in which to labor and strive.

John, Paul, Peter, and Timothy become my mentors and friends;
      Abraham, Moses, and David, become my extended family, my next of kin.
God’s Written Word, inspired by the Holy Ghost, quickens my spirit day by day.
      The air smells fresher, the grass seems greener, walking down the King’s Highway.

Composed by Jim Newnam
Psalm51:7
“Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.”

The six-pointed Star of David is the symbol of the hyssop blossom. I have adopted the Star of David as an emblem of God’s Goodness, and Salvation.
