Learn of Me

The surprise turn of events which has caught you off guard, My child, is not a surprise to Me. The sudden, vivid thoughts you now have of what the future may hold are not from Me, nor is the anxiety which accompanies them.

Turn to Me in your concern, bringing your worries and fears to Me. Do not be ashamed, My dear one, for all who follow Me are targets of attack from the enemy. Let the light of My Word shine on your stresses and let My Spirit bring to your remembrance My promises to you.

Rest on the solid ground of My truth, for there, in the midst of the battle and in the height of the storm, you will remain safe. You must put on My armor and wield My sword to resist the foe, but you will find that, when you do, his power is broken and his threat void of substance.

Remember that the enemy can only attack you through that which he is ruler over in this world. If your affections are tied to material things and fleshly relationships, you will be overcome with doubt, despair, and depression when My foe steals them from you and poisons them against you.

Set your heart on the eternal treasures of the Spirit and not on the measurable things of this earth. If all that you have in this world is taken, you will still be richer than any king who has lived. Learn to walk in this truth, My love, and know that I will never forsake you.
