The Word, or the World?

Psalm 119:81 My soul faints with longing for Your salvation, but I have put my hope in Your word.

God's word stands sure. Whatever else happens, God's word remains unchanged and unshaken. However long it takes to get past or through the current situation, God's promise and presence can be relied on, because God's word says so.
Psalm 119:82 My eyes fail, looking for Your promise; I say, "When will You comfort me?"

When all seems bleak, when you feel alone, isolated, God is there. Feelings are temporary, fleeting, changeable; God's word is eternal, unchanging, true. It may take till morning for weeping to end and joy to arrive, but it will, for God's word says so.

Psalms 119:89 Your word, O Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.

All the powers that are arrayed against God and those who choose Him cannot change a single dot over an "i" or a simple crossing of a "t". No matter how the winds blow and howl, regardless of how the rain pounds or the waters rise, all those who are founded on and resting in the Rock of Ages will come through the storm safely. The storm is bound by the limit God placed by His Word and it will not destroy the earth; the rainbow after the storm is as certain as God's promise.

Psalm 119:92 If Your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.

Feed on the Word. Delight in the Father speaking to you. Roll the Word over your tongue and savor it. Speak the Word and feel the strength it carries. Repeat it for you cannot wear it out. Think on the Word and let it fill your thoughts and be your focus. Internalize the Word and let it give you the support and the rest you need from your worry. Make the Word more and more a part of your life, your being, your essence.
Jesus, Savior, You are the Word made flesh. Thank You for the Comforter who brings You to our remembrance and leads us into all truth. Father God, thank You for watching over Your Word to perform it, and investing the resources of heaven so that Your Word will not return void, empty, or without accomplishing what You have Him to do. We put our hope in You for You cannot lie. You said it, and that settles it. We believe it.
