Sing His Praise Together

Matthew 18:20 Where two or three are banded together in My name, I will be there in the midst of them.

When God finds two or three people in union, who only want His Will to be done, who want only to serve Him, He has a plan that can be revealed to them. The grace of God, which is the power of God, can come to people who are together in one place with one accord. A union like this is miracle-working. God is able to use such people. Only good can come through such consecrated people, brought together in unified groups for a single purpose and of a single mind.
The song taken from the first four verses of Psalms 34 is beautiful, but if we stop reading when we stop singing, we miss so much more. Cause and effect are described so succinctly here. Simple actions and basic attitudes bring such welcome and much needed responses from the throne of God so readily.

Psalm 34
v.5 Those who look to Him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
v.6 This poor man called, and the Lord heard him; He saved him out of all his troubles
v.7 The Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them.
v.8 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him
v.9 Fear the Lord, you His saints, for those who fear Him lack nothing.
v.10 The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.

Look to Him, and His nature is what others see in you. Make it your first action, your first thought, your automatic reflex in any and every situation to look to Him, as a child does to his parent, and what you see and learn in His face, in His hands, in His word, you imitate and become.

Call to Him, and He hears you. And if He hears you, you know that He answers you. You are saved out of all your troubles. But you must call out of an humble and contrite heart, poor in spirit, for He resists the proud, but uplifts the meek and lowly.

Take refuge in Him, and be blessed. It is in our nature to know our creator. Even those who do not profess Him know, when trouble comes, where to seek refuge. Noah heard his neighbors crying for entrance to the ark, but God had closed the door. We take refuge in Him now, before God's judgment falls, and are blessed in the shelter of His wings.

Fear the Lord, and you lack for nothing. Not only are your needs met, but you find that the Angel of the Lord Himself is encamped around you, effecting your deliverance.

Seek the Lord, and every good thing is found in His presence. Every good and perfect gift comes down from our Father in heaven, who does not change, but will see us through until His work in us is completed.

I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. My soul will boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together. I sought the Lord and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.
Father above, there is nothing You have denied us that we need in order to walk in the way You have set before us. The prize that You have made available to us is worth any price You ask us to pay. You set us free from every spiritual power that seeks to bind us, but we gladly enter again into slavery, binding ourselves with the chains of Your love for the lost. You reveal Your heart, Your passion, Your yearning to us when we pick up the tools and join You in the harvest field. You ask nothing of us that You would not do and, in fact, have already done. Thank You, Father.
