No Holding Back

The Father encourages us to be shameless before Him.
Not only does He remove the stain of sin from our lives through the blood of Jesus Christ, but He draws us into a loving family relationship where we can know the Father and the Son through the Spirit in a close, intimate way. Although it may be said in some cases among earthly relationships that familiarity breeds contempt, it is not true in the spiritual relationships. There, the light of God brings transparency, and we know as we are known. God does not flinch from anything we have in our hearts, for He already knows it, and has accepted us anyway. After all, when we heard Jesus knocking on the door of our hearts, asking to come in and dwell with us, He was not drawn because of any merit on our part, but in answer to the longing of our hearts to know Him.

Revelation 3
v.20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

The desire of our hearts to know Him, to fellowship with Him, to worship Him is not something to be ashamed of, or to hold back from. Expressing our love for God in the freedom of the spirit draws us closer to the Father, and causes God to dwell in greater measure with us, for He inhabits our praises. Let nothing hinder or restrain the expression of our love for our mighty Creator, our loving Redeemer, our caring Shepherd, our living Savior. Be without shame in unabashed expression of worship to the King of Kings and Lord of Lord, God Almighty.

2 Samuel 6
v.14 Wearing a linen ephod, David danced in the Lord's presence with all his might.

As we do the work of God that He directs us to by the leading of the Spirit and the confirming of the Word, let us do it with all our ability and might and strength. Let there be no reticence or hesitancy but rather joyful exuberance as we labor for our Father. And when we bring a need to the Father, let there be no reluctance or sense of shame in asking, but rather storm the kingdom of heaven, bringing the petition to the throne-room without shame or self-consciousness, for it is as His representative that we were sent and it is the love of the Father that we are demonstrating as we lift others to God and pray for intervention in their lives.

Luke 11
v.9 And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.
v.10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.
There are no restraints, O Lord, on the bountiful blessings of grace and love and power that You immerse us in, apart from those we place, ourselves. Help us to turn a deaf ear and blind eye to the enemy's lies that draw us back in shame from unreserved acceptance of all the resources You give to us to do Your work and all the praise and worship we give You as Your rightful due. Let our focus this day be the pursuit of righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness as we put our hope in You and seek to show Your nature to others by being rich in good deeds and generous, willing to share of ourselves in time, energy, prayer, goods, love, forgiveness, acceptance. Thank You, Jesus, that You are not ashamed to call us brothers and sisters, and that God is not ashamed to be called our God.
