God is Worthy

God deserves all the praise. Our breath, our thoughts, our intentions, our actions, our travels, all that we have and all that we are can give praise to the Lord and God who is supreme.

It will happen; all of creation will acknowledge Him. Some reluctantly, as they are conquered, resisting, rebellious to the last. Others, in awe, in the last moments, as the reality of who God is and what He is doing overwhelms even their dulled senses so they can no longer ignore or explain away what they see. They will finally understand and recognize Who is the source of what is happening in the natural and the spiritual realms. 

Those, however, whose spirits are quickened and awake to the movements of the Spirit, whose hunger has kept them from dozing spiritually, whose sense of sorrow for the evil and injustice that occurs around them has caused them to cry out for a remedy, those whose heart has responded in harmony to the words of love spoken by our Savior, the many who know, and are known by, the Redeemer can give rich and full praise now, beforehand, freely, willingly, uncoerced. 

Let us join with the others leading the swelling chorus that will resound through the universe and eternity, expressing our thanks and gratitude for His presence with us today, through hard and difficult issues, through dull and dreary routines, through dark and stormy situations, knowing that circumstances shift and feelings change, but He is constant and His purpose is unchanging. He will perform what He has declared, and He has made provision for us in His plans.

Jeremiah 15
v.15 You understand, O Lord; remember me and care for me.
v.16 When Your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear Your name, O Lord God Almighty.
v.19 This is what the Lord says: If you repent, I will restore you that you may serve Me; If you utter worthy, not worthless, words, you will be My spokesman. 

God of heaven, we praise You. With all that is within us, we honor You. We bring every thought into obedience and submission to You and give You our full focus and attention today. Call, and we will answer; speak, and we will obey. We are imperfect, we do fail; even when our actions fall short, You see our hearts' desire is for You. You forgive, You strengthen, You encourage. Thank You! We recognize, more and more clearly each day, the voice of condemnation and defeat that comes to us is not the same as the Voice of love, encouragement, joy that we have heard. We are Your flock and we are learning Your voice. Continue to speak to us today.
