Worship opens a conduit between you and God. Each type and manner of worship brings its own blessings, but the focus and object of worship is God Himself, in three Persons, united in One, so worthy of all praise and honor that if we, His people, did not give what is rightfully His, the separate parts of His creation would do so -- the rocks, the trees, the waves, the wind. Leviticus 26:8 Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and your enemies will fall by the sword before you. Corporate worship is strengthening as we hear others proclaim the same thing we feel welling up inside. We catch a glimpse of what it must be like in the heavenlies as the angelic hosts pronounce the holiness of God, and we understand we are not alone in our walk through the world. When we feel we are the last and only one who has not succumbed to the draw of the world, all we need do is participate in corporate worship with a few others, and we can see why we are directed to continue meeting together and encouraging one another, all the more as we see the times that are coming. Song of Solomon 2:10 My beloved spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one, come with me." Private worship opens up an entirely different communication through the Spirit of God. It is a time of intimacy with God when wounds can be cleansed, bruises can be salved, and blockages can be removed. With all distractions absent, and shut in with God, guards can be let down and tears can flow, both of joy as well as sorrow, of pain and happiness as well, questions can be asked and understanding can be achieved. Locked doors that never see the public can be safely exposed in the privacy of God's garden where He meets with us to encourage us, discipline us, give us direction, and speak love and acceptance into our inner-most beings. Psalm 37:7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes. Loving and worthy God, we look for You in the morning when the day You have created is new, and we voice our thanks for Your gift. Gracious and majestic Lord, we bend our knees, head, and heart before You at the end of the day, praising You for carrying us through the events of day, both trials and victories, successes and failures. We lay the day before You, for better or for worse, knowing that our works will not survive the fire, but that what we have done for You and through You will endure through eternity. Thank You, Father, that You have promised to see us through to the completion of Your plan for us, and that the joy of what will be is beyond our ability to imagine! 4N18T50U
