God's intent, His purpose and goal, the desire of His heart is for each of us to possess and use all of the riches of heaven and the wealth of the Spirit, the endless abundance of God's blessing flowing from His throne. He is God, and will always remain God, above all and in authority over all, seated on the throne and given obedience and worship, which He deserves. He sends His many servants to do His will. His angels, His messengers, His ministering spirits, are His hands and feet, doing His will in heaven as well as on earth and in all of creation. Those servants do the will of God, the work of God, carry out the Word of God, in His authority, in His power, in His Name. They must be faithful and trustworthy, reliable, dedicated and loyal, single of purpose and without personal agenda, in agreement with the desire and will of God. As agents of the living God, they must speak only for the King, say only what their Sovereign has declared and authorized, be a visible and present representative of the invisible Lord speaking to His subjects. We are in training. We are being taught with small examples. We are given assignments with which we can practice and work out the rough edges, re-doing and refining until we have the witness of the Spirit that we are in agreement and accord with the will and desire of the Lord. We all know that feeling of "being in the groove" and having things flow. We lose ourselves in what is happening, be it a sports event or a dance/drama event or a military/police maneuver, the teamwork of each member working to achieve the purpose laid out by the coach, the choreographer, the officer. We find our identity, not as an individual first, but as a member of a team, obeying the leader, carrying out our individual part, contributing to the whole, bringing victory, success, praise to the One leading and guiding us. With each success, we are given more responsibility, entrusted with more complex assignments, brought closer to what God's goal and purpose for us is. We can only manage the focus and obedience necessary to do this if we set aside our own plans and attempts to achieve His goals, trusting His methods rather than our own, relying on His timing and resources in place of our own strength and schedule. As we accept that He is trustworthy, we can release that which we have been holding on to and relying on in case His plan "doesn't work out." We know of one who chose not to completely trust in the wisdom of God and fully obey the will and purpose of the Sovereign, and instead pursued his own purpose and agenda, following his own desires, intending to become as the Most High. He was thrown down from heaven and became enmity to God and to all who trust and and follow God and receive God's love, grace, and mercy. Let us not be of those who turn back and are destroyed, but of those who have faith and enter into the service of the King, of those whose Master says, "Well done, good and faithful servant!" Let us enter into the joy of the Lord of lords and King of kings as useful, productive, trusted stewards of His house, sons and daughters who know and are about the business of their Father. Lord Jesus and Father God, we give You this day and all it contains. We thank you for the strength You have prepared for us and we accept it with gratitude. Thank You for the Spirit which You have sent today to walk with us and bring to our remembrance the Word You have engrafted in our hearts and minds as we have diligently spent time reading and meditating on it. Let the intents of our hearts, the thoughts of our minds, the words of our mouth, the deeds of our hands, and the places our feet tread upon bring glory and praise to Your name and growth to Your kingdom. You have given us Your all, Lord; we give ourselves fully to You to use as You will. We trust You, Lord, to the fullest extent possible today, and as we grow in Your grace daily, conquering and submitting more of ourselves to You, we trust and obey You more fully. Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. 3K21F59H
