Luke 6:45 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

The two warring natures within us are always present. Each day, every day, we will turn to one source or the other​ for our daily bread, our daily strength. When we were in the world and of the world, we sought the world's approval and discounted Christians as weak.​​​​​

Temptations are attacks aimed by the enemy against the knowledge of God. They are used by God to shake us, test us, and settle us in the faith and assurance of the understanding of His Word which He has given us and which we are walking out in experience. 

Beauty is a hallmark of God. It is visible everywhere in His handiwork. All of the beauty of creation is a reflection of the Creator's nature.

When we were estranged from God by reason of our sinful nature, we could not see all the beauty that surrounded us. Momentary glimpses helped make us aware that there was more, there was something deeper, but we could not retain the vision of it.

What occupies our thoughts when we have spare time in our daily life? What do we find our thoughts going back to when there is not something demanding our attention? Does our focus center on the issues that we dread, or on the topics of our desire?
