Worship opens a conduit between you and God. Each type and manner of worship brings its own blessings, but the focus and object of worship is God Himself, in three Persons, united in One, so worthy of all praise and honor that if we, His people, did not give what is rightfully His, the separate parts of His creation would do so -- the rocks, the trees, the waves, the wind.
Psalm 37
v.3 Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. v.4 Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. v.5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: v.6 He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun. Psalm 37 is one of the rich sources that can be revisited many times and always come away with reassurance and the conviction that God is not out of reach or far off in the heavenlies counting angels. Everything in popular culture reminds us of what our rights are and what we are entitled to. Whether it is the subtle message that we have the right to enjoy ourselves more, or the oft-repeated statement that we "have the right to remain silent...," everywhere we turn, the message of what we deserve is being communicated to us, with the expectation that we will exercise those rights. Particularly those rights to buy, purchase, order, or charge whatever item, device, or service, at our nearest vendor or dealer, is deemed critical to our enjoyment of those rights.
