Have you got some little ache or a sharp little pain that wasn't there before? It may not be age-related, or from the work you did around the house this weekend. It might be growing pains.
If God is leading you in new directions, or taking you down a difficult path, He is also doing a work in your life.

Life has many ups and down; "mountain tops" and "valleys" as they are commonly called. Our christian walk does not prevent us from experiencing the highs and the lows, the good days of exhilaration, and the grey days of duty, and the dark, black days of pain and sorrow. The sun and the rain come to all, the just and the unjust alike.
A fast is a spiritual discipline or exercise that needs to be as much a part of every Christian's walk as reading the word of God and speaking from the heart with God.
Mark 12
v.41 Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury. Many rich people threw in large amounts. v.42 But a poor widow came and put in two very small copper coins, worth only a few cents. v.43 Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. v.44 They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything—all she had to live on.” What price are we willing to pay?
Many of us are bargain hunters, looking for the greatest value, the most bang for the buck. Trying to stretch a dollar as far as it can go, pinching pennies till Lincoln's nose bleeds, we get good at recognizing a great price when we run across one. |
