Identity theft is a concern for everyone online, with accounts, passwords, credit card numbers, being used for family and friends. It is an issue that we have to deal with year-round.

We have authority in our walk with God. It is a part of God's promise to each of us who turn to Him, desire to know more about Him, and seek to draw closer to Him.
We have to accept that we have no power of our own to change ourselves, no skill or talent or worth in ourselves to be of value or benefit to, or accepted by, the God we are hungry to know more about. 2 Kings 6:16 Elisha answered, "Don't be afraid. We have more forces on our side than they have on theirs."
When the events of the day, the circumstances of life, the weight of the heart start to overtake our strength and confidence and faith, when the shadows begin to creep up and threaten to darken the light that gladdens our life, turn to God. Psalm 34:8 Taste and see that the LORD is good! How blessed is the one who takes shelter in him!
Are we picky eaters, or do we know anyone who is? Do we find ourselves trying to limit what we will accept? Do we have a small comfort zone that controls what we receive? When our children want to limit their diet to only a few specific food groups (chocolate, cookies, chips, cereal), we may, for a time, allow it, and give them a chance to grow out of it on their own. Psalm 119:81 My soul faints with longing for Your salvation, but I have put my hope in Your word.
God's word stands sure. Whatever else happens, God's word remains unchanged and unshaken. However long it takes to get past or through the current situation, God's promise and presence can be relied on, because God's word says so. |
