Nothing is very important. Nothing matters very much. Nothing has great value. Nothing is extremely critical.

The 6th chapter of Galatians is a recipe for mature Christian living. There is no need to seek God for special instructions on what He wants us to do if we put our efforts into walking out the guidelines given by Paul to the Galatians and those of us coming after them. The entire epistle is rich with well-known passages, with Paul summarizing his thoughts in the last chapter.
Psalm 119:10 With my whole heart I have sought You; oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!
The conflict rages on within us. One part of us desperately hungers for more of God, a closer walk in His Spirit, a deeper intimacy with His heart. Another part jumps up and races off in random directions, following whatever happens to appeal to it at the time, or following old habits and tendencies that we have released and left behind. James 1:22 But don't just listen to God's word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves.
Obedience is a keystone of our spiritual growth, just as practice is essential to improving in any skill or trade you pursue. We must be in the Word of God, reading, meditating on, and applying its truths and principles in our hearts, our minds, and our lives. We must be in communion and conversation with the Spirit of God to touch the heart of God, to learn of Him and receive the strength for the challenges of the day, the power to overcome both large and small obstacles, the encouragement to keep going. |
